Ikea Skadis Pegboard Tape and Ribbon Organizer

Easy to use organizer for rolls of tapes and ribbons. These hooks make it easy to organize your pegboard and create a nice racking system for all your tapes and rolls.

These hooks are 3D Printed in PETG and are custom made to order. We usually ship within 1–3 days of receiving an order.

Size Guide by Roll Diameter

• Small hooks — rolls up to 3" diameter
• Large hooks — rolls up to 5" diameter
• X-Large hooks — rolls up to 8" diameter

Tip: If you have difficulty inserting the 3/8" dowels, lightly sand the ends to reduce the diameter slightly — they'll still hold a nice tight fit.

To extend beyond 12", order additional hooks. We recommend one hook every 12" of dowel length.

IKEA SKÅDIS Compatibility

These hooks are designed and tested to fit the IKEA SKÅDIS pegboard hole geometry: oval slots approximately 35 mm × 10 mm, spaced 40 mm apart on center. They are compatible with all standard SKÅDIS board sizes (36×36 cm, 56×36 cm, 76×56 cm, and 56×56 cm).

Load Guidance

Important: The load figures below reflect our own in-house testing under typical light-craft-supply conditions (tape rolls, ribbon spools). They are provided as a general reference — not as engineered rated capacities. Actual load capacity will vary based on pegboard mounting, wall anchor strength, and the weight distribution of your specific rolls.

• Per hook (PETG bracket into SKÅDIS slot): Tested stable with loads up to approximately 3 lbs (1.4 kg) per hook during our testing. We do not recommend exceeding this without your own verification.
• Per dowel (3/8" wood dowel, 12" span): Tested stable with a centered load of approximately 2 lbs (0.9 kg) across a 12" span. Longer unsupported spans or off-center loading will reduce this.
• For heavier rolls, use one hook every 12" to distribute load and reduce dowel flex.

These are observed test results, not manufacturer-rated load capacities. Do not treat them as certified safe working loads.

Safe-Mounting Notes

• Mount your SKÅDIS pegboard to wall studs or with appropriate wall anchors rated for the total combined weight of the board, organizer, and all loaded rolls.
• Snap each PETG hook firmly into the SKÅDIS slot until you feel it seat — a loose hook is the most common cause of unexpected drop.
• Distribute weight evenly across hooks; avoid placing all heavy rolls on one side of the board.
• Inspect hooks periodically for signs of creep or deformation, especially in warm environments (PETG can soften above ~80°C / 176°F — avoid direct sunlight or heat vents).
• Keep rolls centered on the dowel to minimize side-loading on the hook.

⚠️ Overloading Warning

• Do not exceed the tested load guidance above. Overloading can cause the PETG hook to flex out of the SKÅDIS slot without warning, dropping your rolls.
• Do not use these hooks for heavy industrial tapes, metal-core spools, or any load that feels unstable at the time of mounting.
• These organizers are designed for light craft and office supply rolls (tape, ribbon, twine, washi). They are not rated for structural or load-bearing use.
• If a hook feels loose in the slot or shows visible bending, remove it from service immediately.
